Hello and welcome to my stop at the Pretty Handmades Book Showcase – unfortunately one day late, because I honestly managed to write down the wrong date and was convinced that friday is my turn… I appologize to everyone, who tried to find my blogpost yesterday!
Pretty Handmades – Felt & Fabric Sewing Projects to warm your Heart is another awesome title published bei Tuva Publishing. The author Lauren Wright of Molly and Mama is known for her sweet and whimsical style and the most adorable little felt creations. Have you been to her Blog and Instagram? Lauren’s work is truely divine and I was thrilled when she asked me to participate in the Book Showcase of her first book! Pretty Handmades contains 20 quick and easy projects made with various techniques: working with felt, English Paper Piecing, Embroidery and applique to name just a few.

Ribbons and Bows Travel Clutch

I decided to make the Ribbons and Bows Travel Clutch and not give it away but keep it just for myself. I own and use a lot of hair clips and hair ties and always loose them! And since I hardly ever wear my hair down, they are pretty essential to me. I combined two of my Arbor Blossom prints with Quilter’s Linen, added a few of my favorite ribbons and I used mesh for the see-through pockets instead of clear vinyl. I love how this clutch turned out and it will be my travel companion from now on!

Hallo und willkommen bei meinem Stop auf dem Pretty Handmades Book Showcase – leider einen Tag zu spät, ich habe es tatsächlich geschafft mir ein falsches Datum zu notieren und war fest davon überzeugt, dass ich morgen erst dran bin. Ich entschuldige mich bei allen, die gestern vergeblich nach meinem Beitrag Ausschau gehalten und gewartet haben! Pretty Handmades – Felt & Fabric Sewing Projects to warm your Heart ist ein weitere großartiger Titel aus dem Hause Tuva Publishing. Die Autorin Lauren Wright von Molly and Mama ist für ihren zauberhaften Stil und ihre überaus entzückenden Filz-Kreationen bekannt. Warst du schon auf Ihrem Blog und Instagram Feed? Ihre Werke sind wirklich zum niederknieen und ich freue mich sehr, dass sie mich zum Showcase ihres ersten Buches eingeladen hat! Pretty Handmades beinhaltet 20 verschiedene Projekte, die schnell und einfach gemacht sind. Verwendet wird eine Vielzahl von Techniken: Das Arbeiten mit Filz, English Paper Piecing, Sticken und Applizieren um nur einige zu nennen.

Die Ribbons and Bows Travel Clutch

Ich habe mich für die Ribbons and Bows Travel Clutch entschieden und dafür, sie nicht zu verschenken, sondern ganz für mich zu behalten! Ich besitze und verwende ein Vielzahl an Spangen, Klammern und Haargummis, die ich ständig verliere. Und da ich meine Haare so gut wie nie offen trage, sind Haarklammern quasi essentiell für mich. Bei der Clutch habe ich zwei meiner Arbor Blossom Drucke mit Quilter’s Linen kombiniert und einige meiner Lieblingsbänder zum Einsatz gebracht. Für die durchsichtigen Täschchen habe ich Mesh bzw. Netzstoff statt Kunststoff genommen. Dieses schöne kleine Accessoire wird von jetzt an mein Begleiter sein!
