Bright Hopes oder ein zweiter Versuch

Hier die ersten Blöcke für den neuen Quilts, von dem ich kürzlich gesprochen habe (ja, ich versuche es nochmal…). An Bright Hopes Blöcken habe ich mich in meinen Quilt-Anfängen mal probiert. Und um es kurz zu machen: am Ende sind ein paar schöne Kissen bei herausgerausgekommen. Das ist also mein zweiter Versuch. Der Bright Hopes Block ist simple und einfach schön. Dank dieser Anleitung weiß ich jetzt auch wie er genäht wird. Er ist perfekt geeignet ist für große, kontrastreiche Drucke. Weil ich noch mehr Rote und Gelb brauche, hab ich noch ein paar weitere Flower Sugar Drucke bestellt. Und kann nur hoffen, dass die bald ankommen…

These are the first blocks for the new quilt I mentioned recently. I tried to make Bright Hopes Block once, but not knowing anything about quilting, failed and ended up making pillows from my quilt top. So this is my second try. Thanks to this tutorial I now know how to make those blocks. The Bright Hopes Block is very simple but yet so beautiful. I thinks it’s perfect for large scale prints. Since I need more red and yellow, I ordered some more of those beautiful Flower Sugar Prints. I can only hope that they will arrive soon…!
