6 Köpfe 12 Blöcke März – Carpenter’s Wheel Quilt Block

[Dieser Beitrag enthält Werbung] Willkommen zum dritten Block des 6 Köpfe 12 Blöcke – Quilt Alongs, dem Carpenter’s Wheel Quilt Block – ein beliebtes Muster, das einigen von euch sicher schon bekannt ist! Der Februar Block kam in zwei kleinen Ausführungen daher, diesen Monat ist wieder die große 20″ Variante dran. Mein Plan ist, wie in der Einleitung erwähnt, hauptsächlich mit klein gemusterten Pastelltönen aus allen meinen Stoffkollektionen und Low Volumes (Drucke mit cremefarbenen Hintergrund) zu arbeiten, die ich mit einem pinkfarbenen Hintergrundstoff (Kona Cotton Medium Pink), und meinem cremefarbenen Standardstoff kombiniere. Das geht auch hier ganz wunderbar auf – das Rad bildet einen hellen Kontrast zu den Stern-Spitzen und hebt sich schön vom Hintergrund ab. Ich bin sehr zufrieden! :)

Hello and welcome to block number three of the 6 Köpfe 12 Blöcke – Quilt Along, the beautiful Carpenter’s Wheel quilt block – a very popular design, you’ve probably seen before. The February block came in two small sizes, this month it’s time for a large 20″ block again. As mentioned in the introductory post, I’m working with pastels and low volume prints from all my lines combined with a pink solid for the background (Kona Cotton Medium Pink) and my go-to solid creme fabric to highlight the prints and I’m very happy how this months block turned out. The light wheel builds a beautiful contrast to the points of the stars and the pink background!
