Fabric Requirements if you follow the general colour layout as shown in the diagram above:
Fabric Suggestions:
In the quilt I’ve used different past and current Christmas prints from companies like Lecien, Penny Rose Fabrics and Riley Blake, Benartex and Moda. The creme background print is Speckled in Neon Pink Metallic by Rashida Coleman-Hale for Ruby Star Society / Moda.
Here are a few online shops I like to shop at, which have a beautiful selections in stock: thehomemakery.co.uk, rosegardenpatchwork.co.uk, singer-featherweight.com, www.etsy.com/de/shop/SpringPromenade, www.etsy.com/de/shop/fabricsupply, sunny-day-supply.myshopify.com/, www.fatquartershop.com.
I recommend choosing small and medium scale nondirectional prints for best results.
Colorways:
During the QAL I will be making a dark version of the quilt using one light print for the stars and five solids for the background. This is the color layout:
Fabric Requirements if you follow the dark colour layout as shown in the diagram above:
The Solids are Kona Cotton 1225 Med. Pink, 1062 Candy Pink, 7 Tomato, 221 Parakeet, 1441 Fern.
ATTENTION: for this layout replace (20) Fabric G rectangles and (10) Fabric A squares with (10) 1 ½“ x 15″ rectangles in the sashing color you are using.
In the animation below you can see both versions in a green / blue colorway – if you prefer this colorway, simply replace the red, pink and light pink prints with the colors of your choice. My suggestions for the solids are Kona Cotton 1005 Aqua, 442 Capri, 440 Breakers, 221 Parakeet, 1441 Fern.
Another great option would be, to use only two colors. Below you’ll find the fabric requirements for the Bright Stars quilt in two colors.
ATTENTION: for this layout replace (20) Fabric G rectangles and (10) Fabric A squares with (10) 1 ½“ x 15″ rectangles in the sashing color you are using
